STIBBARD, Gregory David
October 11, 1941 - December 8, 2016
Our family is sad to announce the passing of Greg, leaving us too early due to the onset of Alzheimer's. A true friend to many, he will be remembered for his kindness, genuine caring nature and wonderful sense of humour. A fireman for 30 years, retiring as Assistant Fire Chief with the North Vancouver District, he was a man of integrity and admired by many. Greg's strength of character benefited many in his professional, personal and family life. An outdoor enthusiast, woodworking craftsman, artist and traveller. Greg affected many with his strong work ethic, reliability, and volunteer contributions to both the young and older members of the communities he lived in. Thank you for being a great father and grandfather. Predeceased recently by his loving wife Judith Anne Stibbard (nee Dibnah). Survived by his children Jim (Lynn), Jeff (Brenda), Lianne (Emil) and six grandchildren Amanda, Mathew, Clinton, Cody, Kai and Asa; sister Judy; brother John (Nancy) and nieces, nephews and cousins. Judy's siblings Doreen (Rob), Diane (Bill), Larry (Rae), Cheryl (Ian), Sandy and their children. A celebration of life will be held in February at the Laurel Point Inn in Victoria. Donations in lieu of flowers to the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund
