I have several fun memories of Warren, Me and Gavin when we were kids at Capilano Elementary, Hamilton and Delbrook. Speaking of Delbrook. Warren had his mom's buick, for the first time, and the three of us agreed to see how fast it would go but didn't expect him to decide to do so down Delbrook Rd. at 100 miles per hour resulting in him loosing control and smashing into a road ditch. Gavin and I could see it coming and braced ourselves putting our feet up on the dash which crumpled in on impact and Warren held fast on to the steering wheel which cracked in half. All three falling out of the vehicle ontop of eachother. I on the bottom thought I was dead. That's only one little story, I won't go on with others. Needless to say we enjoyed adventures. I don'y want you get the wrong opinion, Warren (wherever you are) you lived a good and adventuresome life and if you don't mind me saying so, don't rest in peace, just keep on going. Jim

Just a note to add to Jim Cox's posting to say about how many  of us started grade one , was it Mrs. Mc Williams , at Capilano, then  to Sutherland and Hamilton and Delbrook and all the fond memories we so cherish..

It is too bad it takes the death of one of us to spark these memories for  we really lived iin the greatest of times , and to watch the innocense or not so innocent in a lot of cases going by way too fast.

God love you Warren, you deserve it.....................Jim Donnelly

Thank you for sharing your memories -- I've added a link in this post to the notice that was in the local paper.  There will also be a less formal gathering sometime in the spring in Vancouver to have a wee dram or two and tell "Hale stories".  I'll put that info on this page if that's ok.
